Maximum Firing Capacity of Your IGNITE Module When Using Breakout Boards

The IGNITE Breakout Board allows you to connect multiple igniters to a single cue on your IGNITE i18 or i36 module. This feature is ideal for creating simultaneous effects without needing additional cues. Below, you'll find details on how many igniters can be safely fired simultaneously when using our breakout boards under different conditions.

Please note that each time you fire a cue, the module sends a pulse of electricity. In Clip-On mode, the module fires each cue for 2 seconds. The limitations below apply whether firing a single cue or multiple cues within the same firing pulse.

Igniter Limitations for Breakout Boards

When using a breakout board with your IGNITE firing system, the number of igniters you can fire depends on the length of your breakout board cables and clip-on igniter lengths. 

Warning:

These limitations are based on your chosen harness length and type of igniter, when using a single Breakout Board and Quickplug Harness. Multiple breakout boards cannot be chained together.

The numbers provided above outline the maximum number of igniters that can be fired per cue or across multiple cues fired simultaneously within the same module pulse.

Warning:

The above maximums only apply when using the IGNITE Lipo battery. If you're using the Emergency 9V Backup Harness, you cannot use breakout boards and are limited to 1 igniter per cue.
