If your IGNITE i36 or i18 module enclosure is damaged or needs replacement, you can replace it using a compatible housing provided by IGNITE. The process is straightforward and requires only basic tools.
Follow the steps below to remove your old enclosure and install a new one. If you prefer to have our team perform the repair, contact IGNITE Support for assistance.
Step 1: Remove the 4 corner screws
Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the four corner screws on the back of the module that hold the two halves of the enclosure together.
Step 2: Remove the antenna connector
Turn the module over. Using a 5/16" wrench, carefully remove the antenna nut and lock washer. Set them aside for reinstallation.
Step 3: Separate the enclosure halves
Once the screws and antenna are removed, lift the top half of the enclosure to expose the internal components of your module.
Step 4: Remove the circuit board
Remove the four screws securing the circuit board to the bottom half of the enclosure. Gently unplug the small harness connected to the power button underneath the board.
Step 5: Remove the power button
From inside the enclosure, push the power button outward. It’s held in place by a tension clip and should release with light pressure.
Step 6: Reassemble your module
Once the enclosure has been replaced, reassemble your module by following these steps in reverse. Make sure all connections are secure and the antenna and screws are firmly tightened.
