Before firing your show, you need to check that all your igniters are properly connected and functioning. A continuity check sends a small current through the igniters to confirm that the circuit between the module and igniter is complete. No continuity can indicate a faulty igniter, or a broken coil due to poor installation. Completing this step ensures your system is ready to fire, providing confidence in your setup.
Hardware Version Differences
The process for checking continuity depends on your IGNITE Lite module hardware version. Refer to the table below:
| Hardware Version | Continuity Check Method |
| Lower than 2.0 | Automatic – Continuity is checked and updated automatically. |
| 2.0 or higher | Manual – Users must manually tap "Check Igniters" for an updated status. |

The change to the continuity check process enhances safety by giving you control over when the module is sending any sort of current through the igniters. For more information on continuity, check out What Is Continuity, and Why Is It Important?
Step 1: Open the Manual Fire screen.
Open the IGNITE Lite App and tap Manual Fire.
Step 2: Check igniters.

Step 3: Review the Safety Warning.
After tapping the Check Igniters button, a safety warning will appear. Review and follow the safety instructions, then tap Ok to proceed.
Step 4: Wait for the Continuity Check to complete.
The Check Igniters button will say Checking... instead while the app takes a few moments to update continuity.
Step 5: View continuity results.
The module's continuity status will now be displayed. Cues with continuity will appear in green.
Troubleshooting Continuity Issues
If you experience issues with continuity not displaying correctly, try the following:
- Ensure igniters are properly connected to the module.
- Reattempt the continuity check after waiting a few moments.
- Verify that your module is powered on and properly paired with the app.
