How To Connect the IGNITE BOOST to the IGNITE BOOST App

Getting your IGNITE BOOST device connected to the app is quick and easy. Once paired, you’ll be able to connect your IGNITE modules as well, and upgrade them to support connecting to the BOOST. This guide walks you step-by-step through the process so you can start firing confidently and safely in no time.

Step 1: Power on your IGNITE BOOST

Press the power button on the top of the module. The front “Burst” light will illuminate, indicating the device is on.

Tip:

The IGNITE BOOST unit does not have a customizable color, so the front "Burst" light will always be white.

Step 2: Open the IGNITE BOOST App

When you open the IGNITE BOOST app for the first time, you will be prompted to pair the BOOST immediately after logging in. Tap the Pair Now button to get to the pairing screen.

Step 3: Select your IGNITE BOOST device.

The app will scan for actively powered IGNITE BOOST devices and display them on screen. Tap the BOOST device when it appears to move to the next step.

Tip:

The BOOST's unique address ID appears below its icon. This ID is paired with a PIN stored on the device’s radio chip to prevent others from controlling your device during a show.

Step 4: Confirm your PIN

Enter or scan the 4-digit security PIN located inside the battery compartment.

Tip:

Getting an error saying your PIN doesn't match? Double-check your entry — it’s easy to confuse an I for a 1 or an O for a 0. If you're unsure, try scanning the barcode instead.

Step 5: Confirm your connection

Your IGNITE BOOST is now connected to your mobile device! From here, you can tap Add device to start connecting your IGNITE modules. 

Tip:

After connecting to the IGNITE BOOST App, your i18 and i36 modules will need a firmware update for IGNITE BOOST. To learn more, please see Updating the Firmware on Your IGNITE i18 and i36 Modules.
