How to Add Audio to a Show in Show Designer

By using IGNITE Show Designer in Google Chrome, you can easily add an audio file to your show. This allows your music to play from your mobile device in perfect sync with your fireworks.

Step-By-Step

Step 1: Launch IGNITE Show Designer

Using Google Chrome, go to designer.ignitefiringsystems.com and log in with your Google or Apple account. This should be the same account you’re using in the IGNITE App.

Step 2: Open an existing show or create a new show

Adding audio to a new show: When creating the show, you’ll see a Does Your Show Have Music? prompt. Select Yes, Select Audio File to open the Show Designer Audio Studio.

Adding audio to an existing show: Click the MP3 icon in the bottom-left corner of the window to open the Audio Studio.

Step 3: Click the Add New button

Choose to browse for, or drag, a file from your computer.

Step 4: Click the Upload button

Once you’ve selected your audio file, click Upload to send it to the IGNITE server. Your file will be available to access from any computer.

Step 5: Finish upload

When the upload completes, click Finished. The file will appear in your Audio Files list.

Step 6: Click Select to add the uploaded file

Once added, your audio file appears in the waveform section of the window, with its title in the bottom left corner.

Tip:

Once a file has been loaded into the Audio Studio, it can have SMPTE timecode applied. This allows your show’s audio to control third-party systems that support SMPTE. Learn more in What Is SMPTE Timecode, and How Can I Use It?.
