When you fire a cue, the module sends a pulse of electricity to that cue to activate the igniter. You can control the duration of this firing pulse by adjusting your module's firing mode from within the Modules screen.
When using IGNITE's clip-on igniters you'll always want to have the firing mode set to 2.0-seconds so that the module can send enough power to activate the igniter.
For igniters from other manufacturers, be sure to check their firing recommendations and best practices to determine if you need to change the firing mode from 2.0-seconds. Please keep in mind that not all igniters are made the same, and some may have higher or lower resistances which will determine how long of a firing pulse your IGNITE module needs to send.
How to Change the Firing Mode
Step 1: Open the IGNITE app and go to Modules.
Step 2: Turn on and locate the modules you want to change.
Once your modules are on, you should see an option on each of them to adjust the firing pulse. By default, all IGNITE modules come set to the 2.0-second firing pulse. The currently selected option will have a grey background with black text, while the unused option looks greyed out.
Step 3: Select your preferred firing mode.
Simply tap on the selection you'd like to switch to and the module will register the change.
Step 4: Repeat steps 2 and 3 on additional modules.
This will only change the pulse duration for your selected module, so if you need to adjust more than one, repeat the process for each module you're updating. Your modules do not all need to be on the same firing mode, but you do still need to keep their firing modes in mind when considering the timing of your cues.
