Should I Add SMPTE to the Left or Right Channel of My Audio File?

You can add SMPTE to either channel, but we recommend the right. Most cables, splitters, and tools (including Light-O-Rama) expect SMPTE on the right, so using the right channel keeps setups consistent and makes troubleshooting easier.

Tip:

The option to add SMPTE is turned off by default, so you may need to enable it first. To learn how, please see How to Enable SMPTE For Your IGNITE Show.

Whichever channel you choose, make sure the audio goes to the right inputs. Music (left) to your sound system, and SMPTE (right) to your third-party system.
