IGNITE has a formal integration with the Light-O-Rama system, so you can perfectly time the systems to operate together. By following our step-by-step guide, you can integrate IGNITE and Light-O-Rama together to control your holiday lights, fireworks, and audio in perfect sync.
Step 1: Design Your Fireworks Show in IGNITE Show Designer
Step 2: Design Your Light Show
You can design your Light-O-Rama show using the Show Time Sequencing Suite.
Step 3: Add SMPTE to Your Audio File in IGNITE Show Designer
Step 4: Split Your Mobile Audio Output
With SMPTE timecode applied to your audio, IGNITE app sends music through the left channel and SMPTE timecode through the right channel. Since these signals need to go to different destinations (music to your sound system, and SMPTE to your computer running Light-O-Rama) you’ll need an audio output splitter.
For newer phones, use a USB-C to RCA audio splitter.
For older iPhones, use a Lightning to RCA audio splitter instead.
From there, you can use RCA adapters, such as a mono RCA to 3.5mm cable, to connect each output to your computer and sound system.
Step 5: Configure Light-O-Rama for SMPTE
You will need to configure your Light-O-Rama show to support receiving SMPTE through follower mode. Please use the Light-O-Rama instructions for setting this up.
Step 6: Start Your Light Show in Follower Mode
Start your Light-O-Rama show before triggering your IGNITE show. This will put the Light-O-Rama show in standby as it waits for the SMPTE timecode from IGNITE to tell it to start playing.
Step 7: Fire Your Fireworks Show in IGNITE
In the IGNITE app, go to the Shows screen and select the show you want to fire. When the show starts, SMPTE will output from the right channel of your device into Light-O-Rama, triggering your Light-O-Rama show and keeping both systems perfectly in sync.
