How To Add SMPTE to Your IGNITE Show

You can sync your IGNITE show with third-party systems that support SMPTE timecode, such as Light-O-Rama. With SMPTE being fed from your IGNITE show to your third-party system, when you start your show in IGNITE, your third-party system will start perfectly in sync.

To get started, follow the steps below to add SMPTE to your audio track in the IGNITE Show Designer.

Step 1: Log into IGNITE Show Designer.

Log into your account at designer.ignitefiringsystems.com.

Step 2: Open your show.

Click on the My Shows button in the menu on the left side of the screen.

This will open a window where you can select the show you want to add SMPTE to. Once selected, click Open.

Step 3: Open the Audio Studio.

Click on the MP3 icon on the bottom left corner of the screen to open the Audio Studio.

Step 4: Locate your audio file.

In the Audio Studio, locate the audio file you want to add SMPTE to.

Step 5: Add SMPTE.

Click on the Add SMPTE dropdown menu, and select the Right Channel, and wait for the SMPTE timecode to be added to your audio track. This could take a bit to process, depending on the size of your file.

Tip:

While you can select either channel, we recommend the right for best results. Learn more in Should I Add SMPTE to the Left or Right Channel of My Audio File?

Step 6: Apply your new audio to the show.

After adding SMPTE to your audio, click Select to load the updated file into your show.

Tip:

The option to add SMPTE is turned off by default, so you may need to turn it on before you can add SMPTE. To learn how, please see How to Enable SMPTE For Your IGNITE Show.
