If you hear a loud screeching sound during your pyromusical show, the SMPTE timecode feature in IGNITE Show Designer may be enabled. SMPTE is used to sync external systems such as Light-O-Rama with your show audio.
To stop the screeching, disable SMPTE in your show’s audio settings by following the steps below.
1. Open IGNITE Show Designer
Using Chrome on a desktop or laptop computer, log into your account at designer.ignitefiringsystems.com.
2. Select your show
Click the My Shows tab on the left side of the screen and open the show you want to edit.
3. Open the Audio Studio
Click the MP3 icon at the bottom left of the event waveform.
4. Locate your show’s audio file
In the list, find your show’s audio file. Under the SMPTE column, check whether it’s set to Left or Right (recommended).
5. Set SMPTE to None
Expand the dropdown menu and select None. Then click Select to re-apply the audio file without SMPTE enabled.
6. Save and test your show
After making your changes, save the show and sync it to your IGNITE App. For steps, see Import a Show into the IGNITE App.
Once synced, test your audio to confirm that the screeching sound is gone.
